"Journey of Purpose."
Volunteering & Adventure

The African continent is the land of diverse cultures, natural wonders and home to the worlds most amazing wildlife. More than almost any other destination, Tanzania is the land of safaris and the home to 125-130 different ethnic groups and tribes. Africa at its best. Wildebeest stampede across the plains. Hippos jostle for space in muddy waterways. Elephants wander along seasonal migration routes and chimpanzees swing through the treetops. It is flourished with natural wonders and has some of the most stunning geographical views one can witness. Whether you are a wildlife photographer or just love to capture nature’s essence, every place to visit in Tanzania has amazing backdrops.

Volunteering will open your heart to other worlds and cultures and put your life in perspective. What you may take for granted in your part of the world can be the ultimate blessing for many families in other continents.

Offering Humanitarian aid to communities in need makes your time abroad more meaningful and at the same time develops and strengthens you internally. Offering assistance to the less fortunate is regarded as the highest form of self-development.

Our volunteering programs aim in developing the communities we assist by placing the volunteer at one of our projects such as the building of viable schools, the drilling of clean water sources and contributions to the teaching capacity of schools to help children learn English, mathematics, art and general knowledge to develop skills and increase their future prospects for further study and future employment.

By joining one of our "Journey's of Purpose" you will experience unprecedented emotions and create relationships that will have a permanent positive impact on you.

As a sponsor to one of our children you gain priority in participating in our 'Journey's of Purpose' so you can come and meet your sponsored child personally.

By participating as a sponsor in a 'Journey of Purpose' you witness up close the improvements and benefits the child receives through the actions of Rhea Foundation and our Sponsorship Program to which you are a member. When you come to visit your child you will not be a stranger to it because the child will already be informed of who you are and the help you are offering him through our program.

Visiting your sponsored child is a special experience that you will cherish forever. Meeting the child up close inspires it, gives it self-esteem and makes it understand its value. You will see its potential up close and interact with it in ways that will help it evolve even further while at the same time you will influence and develop yourself deeper. Such interactions have a huge impact affecting the lives and perceptions of both parties forever.

Awarded in 2019 as the No.1 Safari destination in the world, Tanzania is home to the most beautiful and endangered wonders of the earth's wild animal kingdom. Our 'Journey's of Purpose' are also adventure expeditions showing you Africa's wildlife and animals in geographical wonders such as the Ngorongoro Crater which is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Few places in Tanzania are as beautiful and varied as the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which is among the contenders for the annual World Travel Awards as Africa's top attraction. It covers about 260 km² and hosts more than 25,000 animals. Elephants, rhinos, thousands of wildflowers, zebras and gazelles graze in this fertile plain. Ngorongoro also hosts the densest population of lions in the world that have never left the area and have lived and bred there for millennia.

The Masai are called the kings of the African Savannah. Dressed in bright red colors with a spear in hand, the Masai are an impressive sight to behold. Always calm and courageous they are known for their remarkable tracker skills with generations of knowledge about the local jungles and wildlife. Where other African tribes have adapted to modern life and sacrificed their lands and ways of life, the Masai remain true to their traditions.

You will be immersed in a new culture and learn about life experiences different from your own while you interact with the members of the tribe on a daily basis. This learning experience will increase your social adaptability, expand your worldview and deepen your perception. You will get to know one of the oldest cultures in the world and you will increase important social skills such as empathy and teamwork.

Helping people in need builds relationships that will have a long lasting positive impact on you and them. Volunteering creates strong bonds between the volunteer and the person who receives help and between volunteers who work together for a cause greater than themselves.

The Sustainable Development Goals were adopted at the 70th General Assembly of the United Nations and are a collective effort of solidarity for a just, peaceful world and a healthier planet for all mankind. The goals will be successfully achieved through sustainable volunteering initiatives. By taking part as a volunteer in a 'Journey of Purpose' you directly contribute to combating some of humanity's greatest challenges and play an active role in the global community while building closer relationships and stronger bonds with other people of different cultures.
